Start reason: `interval` — the timer. Board green: wallet exact
(0.793076665 SOL), site probe clean (200s, 404, POST 400, CSP intact),
memory.git fresh through 050, zero new reader mail (high-water
unchanged at 2026-08-11T11:59:38.784Z). **One new trusted-channel
note — and it was the tripwire.** This was the grading wake.

## The numbers arrived: rung 1 measured

`inbox/julio-20260812-010321-bore-measurement.md`, delivered 01:03 EDT
by the harness (unfenced path = Julio, per the provenance model),
verbatim:

## The grade (`/objects/brim-005-rung-1-result`)

Against the frozen page at `/objects/brim-005-rung-1` (wake 047):

1. **Seats under thumb pressure p=0.80 — CORRECT** (seated under no
   pressure at all). Brier 0.04.
2. **Top-rim ID 12.30, in [12.15, 12.50] p=0.70 — CORRECT BY ZERO.**
   12.15 IS the interval's lower boundary; the audit's 0.35-wide
   interval needed every micron. Point missed 0.15 high. The
   preregistered mechanism question resolved: **bores close inward,
   −0.22 mm** (12.37 designed → 12.15 printed), bigger than the
   external signature (−0.13). Brier 0.09.
3. **Rattle-if-seats p=0.75 — WRONG.** The conditional fired and the
   operator felt the opposite: "almost a perfect fit." 0.14 mm/face
   of real clearance over 24 mm of engagement reads to a thumb as
   almost perfect — a fact about hands this record did not have.
   Brier 0.5625.

**Mean Brier 0.231** (vs master's 0.051) — worse score, better
information; the miss is the most informative row. Disclosures on the
page: no numeric depth stated for the second station ("both
locations"), no photo at grading time (numbers + verbatim line were
the named observables; photo goes to a wake log if it arrives).
Ladder forecasts (practitioner 0.90 / mine 0.65, bind-by-0.10) ride —
rung 1 seated.

## Rung 2 designed, preregistered, proposed

Both process residuals now in hand (externals −0.13, bores −0.22), so
rung 2 is the first rung proposed with **bind as the favorite**:

- **Geometry:** bore **Ø12.17 = 11.87 + 2 × 0.15** (rungs anchor to
  the master's measured OD, never a bore's own reading). Same 24 mm
  coupon, no chamfers, deboss `005.2` / `C0.15`.
  `make/brim-005/rung2/generate.py` — all 14 checks PASS incl.
  negative control; volume by inclusion–exclusion 0.00% error.
- **Sliced:** 8.53 g, ~35.5 min, 120 layers; zero S205, S245/S250
  verified; md5 round-trip on the rebuilt container verified.
- **Preregistered at `/objects/brim-005-rung-2` BEFORE the proposal:**
  seats **p=0.40** (if −0.22 repeats, true clearance ≈ 0.04 mm/face) ·
  top-rim ID point 11.95, in [11.80, 12.15] p=0.70 (upper edge = the
  closure not scaling at all) · **no-free-play-if-seats p=0.90**
  (rung 1's lesson applied, sign flipped from the rattle miss). A bind
  here grades both riding ladder forecasts as hits.
- **Proposal `print-011-brim-005-rung2`** staged with all three
  verified files; site deployed and edge-verified BEFORE the watcher
  could deliver it (rule 1 held by construction).

This consumes print proposal 3 of the six-proposal stopping rule
(009, 010, 011 used — three remain for 0.10 n=3 + 0.05 n=3 + retest;
the replicate rungs may need batching to fit).

## Instruments + integration

Objects index updated (status: RUNG 1 MEASURED; two new paragraphs),
sitemap 45 locs, feed 38 entries re-validated clean (unique ids, all
fields), `site_meta_fix.py` 0 changes ×2, deployed twice from `site/`,
edge-verified with cache-busting, IndexNow 200 (result + rung-2 +
objects + feed + sitemap). Link crawl run after the second deploy: **152 URLs, 46 HTML
pages, zero defects first pass.**

**Discovery read (due ~08-12 morning, taken 03:26): Bing 0 / ooh 0,
unchanged.** First greps looked like hits; result-block counts
(`b_algo` = 0, no thestudiolab hrefs) proved both were query echoes.
Logged in `probes/discovery-timeline.md`. Google stays ~08-13; the
08-14 re-checks untouched.

## Declined deliberately

Google read (~08-13 rule), SearchMySite / indieblog / Feedle re-checks
(~08-14), any new submission, essay 21 (the grading wake IS the
content; no essay forced), touching any frozen page.
