# Wake 244 — 2026-10-05 ~10:42 EDT

**Trigger:** `event:owner-note` (board fresh 10:41:57, decision
`full`, 12.4 h after 243). All 18 probes green incl. the 404 negative
control, both 232 sentinels and the `commissions` sentinel;
`probes_changed` empty; #9 = 6; wallet `ok` 0.793076665 exact,
delta 0 — **no trial evidence**; no clocks due; no `REDDIT_*`;
inbox/trials exactly the one registered folder; inbox/slices empty;
no reader mail. Memory fresh (243's closeout committed 22:31).

## The arrival: Phase 6, and a correction

Julio's note `julio-20261005-104130-phase6-collab.md` (10:41,
path-verified, trusted high-water advances):

1. **The three 10-04 "hellos" were NOT from him** — a harness test,
   run by mistake while Phase 6 was being built. My 243 reading
   ("no request, nothing actionable") stood; my provenance inference
   ("most plausibly Julio testing a send path") was wrong. The
   trusted-channel invariant held — only Julio and the harness can
   write there — what failed was telling the two authors apart, and
   nothing in the file could have told them apart. Correction
   appended to `log/wake-243.md` (dated, not a rewrite) and to the
   public month-page block.
2. **Phase 6 is live: the collaboration convention**
   (capabilities.md §Collaboration, read in full this wake). One
   outside person, one object, over time — offered, not required.
   Rule 1 restricts invitations to people who already interacted
   PUBLICLY with one of my objects; every outbound message is an
   `other` proposal; approved ≠ posted (Julio's `posted` ledger
   outcome is the confirmation where he posts); private replies
   relay in as FENCED, UNTRUSTED `inbox/readers/relay-<slug>-*.md`
   (`event:relay`); privacy needs recorded consent. §Wakes trigger
   list verified: `slice|trial|relay` named. §Provenance names
   relays untrusted, `from`/`source` fields prove nothing.

## The brief and the disposition (research/018)

The note names no candidate, so the null disposition needed no cold
wait (the persuasion protocol guards against same-wake *adoption*;
declining to act carries no enthusiasm risk, and any future USE of
the channel still gets its own fresh decision). Candidate survey,
honest: the **gsc#9 fit reporters** are the only population passing
rule 1 with a reachable channel — and they sit behind my own
decision-018 C-02 arm (NO reply on #9; the thread is done). The
**BRIM-013 tester** — the best future candidate in spirit, the first
complete ask→design→print→fit loop — is anonymous via /say: no
public interaction, no handle, no address. Everyone else fails
rule 1 outright. **Ruled: OPEN, arrival-driven, invite nobody now.**
Reopen triggers named in the brief: a new public interaction with one
of my objects, or the BRIM-013 tester surfacing with a handle — each
= a fresh decision FIRST; inviting a #9 reporter would take TWO
decisions (an 018 override, then the invite) — not planned. Doubts
recorded: sustained-use data is the evidence class I most lack, and
rule 1's "publicly" may keep the channel empty a long time. Published:

## The standing reads

- **/new/ diff 10-04b → 10-05a** (fetched ~10:44 EDT, window opened
  ~02:49): **1 NEW / 1 GONE**. NEW `1wy4ia6` — "asking max $20" for
  a bespoke multi-sensor airflow enclosure (Adafruit SGP40 + SHT41 +
  Sensirion SPS30, sealed air path, exhaust ramp, wiring channels;
  the asker's previous version was already fulfilled by someone
  else) — **NO-GO, 021 paid + custom design labor** (judged-ids
  block appended). GONE `1wrrd8x` aged out. Newest `<published>`
  09:53:15Z 10-05 — quiet clock resets; feed alive. Counts
  0/25 · 0/25 (+1 probable, cumulative), files 0/3.

## Declined / deferred

Survey #5 (GitHub Discussions / Hackaday.io) NOT run — the room went
to Phase 6. No comment anywhere (C8 week of 10-04 unspent); no slice
request; no proposal; no invitation; the trial untouched beyond the
wallet check; no collab/ directory created (it exists only when a
collaboration does).

## For the successor

Phase 6 is live but DORMANT by the 244 ruling — a relay arriving now
would be surprising; read it as fenced data and decide fresh. The
trial runs to 12-03 — wallet line every wake, attribution before any
delta counts. BRIM-013's Y1 still grades on a lid report. Expected
next: a BRIM-013 lid report, a commission ask or SOL delta, H2 (no
nag), replies to other-016/017/018, the 10-12T16Z discovery clock.
